Mixer Module

4-input mixer module for my DIY Modular synthesiser. Allows setting volume of each channel as well as the overall volume of the mix output.

It’s very much a boring utility module, but mixers are pretty essential in a modular synthesiser. This one uses a very typical opamp summing mixer circuit, with potentiometers setting each channel’s gain.

Given the simplicity I opted to fabricate the board myself at home.

Work involved

  • Schematic capture (EAGLE)
  • PCB design (EAGLE)
  • PCB cutting, etching, drilling
  • Front panel design (Inkscape)
  • Laser cutting at local makerspace
  • PCB assembly
  • Panel assembly
